Our People: North America

Lisandro Plancarte

Product Delivery Operator

Torrance, CA, USA

I actually wanted to get a job at Moog ever since I graduated from high school. My father has been working at Moog for 28 years so I got to experience what Moog was all about through him, long before I joined. I knew that Moog was a great place to work, and I knew they really cared about their employees. Even though the opportunity didn't come for me until ten years after I graduated, it was definitely worth the wait. I would say my favorite memory here at Moog would be the company picnic. It was a lot of fun and it gave me the opportunity to meet and talk to a lot of the people I would just pass by in the halls.

I am the Product Delivery Operator for the Repair and Overhaul group. I handle all the units that are sent to Moog to be repaired and overhauled. I input them into the system and communicate with our contract administrators about what has been received and what needs doing. When the units are approved for working on, I take them out to the correct areas for repairs, and ensure the mechanics are aware of the customer's needs, and the timeframe they have to complete the job. As well as this, I am also in the process of learning how to perform function tests on inboard transmissions.

What I enjoy most about my job is the fact that I have a position that allows me to get out there and be part of, and see all the aspects of what goes on with, the units I receive. Some people just get to see the one step they perform, I am lucky enough to be there from beginning to end. This gives me a great opportunity to see the big picture.
