Laura Gulizia

HR/Administrative Assistant

Murphy, NC, USA

Established. A good place to work. Great rewards. They were just some of the comments friends, family and careers professionals used to describe Moog. Everyone had something positive to say about the company. So I visited Moog – and applied for a position. As soon as I'd had my interview with the HR Manager, I knew the company could give me the opportunities I had been looking for. I was made to feel comfortable from that very first meeting. You don't get that everywhere.

Not being familiar with an assembly plant, I didn't really know what to expect on my first day. I was absolutely amazed by how busy the entire plant was. There was plenty going on, but I remember thinking to myself just how intently the assembly workers were concentrating on their work. I could see these people were really dedicated. Even then, everyone I met took the time to give me a really warm welcome.

As the Human Resources Administration Assistant I get to meet so many Moog people. It's what makes my job so enjoyable and I have the utmost respect for every single one of them. I take great pleasure in being able to help them in any way I can and it's nice to know I can make a real difference when situations arise. Of course, this has made many of my days memorable. But the one truly unforgettable day was last year's 4th of July celebration. The HR department did an amazing job decorating the place and everyone had an equally amazing time. There were even a few people singing songs and all of Moog's military veterans were individually honored. It was a truly special day.
