I used to work for a larger aerospace company where I was responsible for the A/T department. Moog supplied servo valves to us, so I was well aware of who they were and the quality work they did. So, when the 1985 Paris Air Show came around, the people I knew from Moog GmbH invited me over. I spent an hour or so with them at their booth, after which I remember thinking: "This is the company I want to work for." Three months later, I was a Moog employee.

That was over twenty years ago. Moog Italiana was very small at the time: there were only fifteen of us in a brand new building. I was hired as a Sales Engineer (Aerospace & Defence) and, to begin with, I had no customers. The challenge – and the attraction - was to really get things off the ground and up and running.

Business has really taken off since then. Today, I'm responsible for Business Development, and I still manage the Aerospace & Defence customers, as well as a couple of Formula One teams. I have four people reporting in to me and I can say, in all honesty, that working with them is what I enjoy most about my work.
