Moog’s Technology Moves Retractable Roof for Wimbledon’s Centre Court

East Aurora, N.Y. (July 7, 2009) – Moog Industrial Group, a part of Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B ), has put in place a high performance electric actuation solution that operates the newly installed retractable roof above Wimbledon’s Centre Court. Wimbledon’s staff closed the 1,100-metric-ton (1,212.50 tons) roof for the first time in competition on Monday, June 29 after a light rain stopped play during the second set of a match at Centre Court.

Moog Completes Acquisition of LTi REEnergy GmbH

East Aurora, N.Y. (June 1, 2009) – After taking a 40 percent ownership stake in privately held LTi REEnergy GmbH last June, Moog Inc. (NYSE: MOG.A and MOG.B ) has acquired the remaining 60 percent of the Unna, Germany-based company . Moog is acquiring two manufacturing and testing facilities, one in Unna, Germany, and the other in Shanghai, China; and a widely used electric wind turbine blade pitch control system that complements Moog’s existing blade pitch control, rotor monitoring and slip ring systems.
